Research with a focus on baseline and outcome measures will be fully integrated into projects supported by The Trust.  This is reinforced with qualitative research to understand the impact on beneficiaries, including unintended outcomes as these are as important as the intended outcomes.

Robust research protocols ensure that the credibility of findings and the evidence generated from research will influence the practices and policies of implementers, other donors, government and policy bodies.

An impact evaluation by the London School of Economics of the Kusuma Udayan Shalini Fellowships has been completed and a summary of its findings were presented at the 'Transforming Lives Through Education' Seminar held on 1 December 2011 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
