We are excited to award a grant of £25,000 to Avenues Youth Project to fund the Friday Seniors – Freestyle Fridays programme, engaging with young people from the Queens Park ward in Westminster. Avenues Youth Project provides a safe, fun and creative hub where people aged 8-18 can try new experiences under the guidance of trained youth workers.
The Freestyle Friday project aims to inspire young people through a variety of experiences including music production, cooking sessions, design classes, sport workshops, guest speakers and many more stimulating sessions. Our funding with allow the Freestyle Friday project to stay open for an additional hour from 6.30pm-10pm for 48 weeks of the year, whilst also providing a hot meal to all and travel to those in need.
