We are delighted to award a £68,000 grant to Barts Charity to introduce 3D intracardiac echocardiography (3D ICE) at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. This cutting-edge technology will provide clearer, real-time heart imaging for patients undergoing minimally invasive valve repairs and those with complex heart infections. The project aims to improve patient outcomes, shorten procedures, and expand access to life-saving treatments.

With rigorous data collection and outcome tracking, the initiative aims to build a strong case for wider NHS adoption, potentially benefitting 200–300 patients annually across the UK and transforming national standards for cardiac imaging and treatment.
