The Gibraltar Digital Skills Academy launched its first full-time course for Microsoft Certifications on January 9th, thanks to our commitment of just under £50,000. The four-month course titled “Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator and Help Desk”, will run from January to April, with funding pledged for a second course should this one prove successful.

Thirteen students will gain five specialised qualifications that will make them highly employable within the technology sector along with the foundations to continue to develop in many different areas within the industry. The course itself has been designed in consultation with the gaming sector and will include a work placement.

Stuart Harrison, founding trustee of the Digital Skills Academy thanked the Trust saying; “We are so grateful for the generous donation from The Kusuma Trust. One of the pillars of The Academy was to upskill adults and allow them to attain high skilled jobs within Gibraltar’s technology sector and this will allow us to do just that.”
