We are aiming to increase access to classical music in Gibraltar with a grant of £30,000 to the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society over the next three years. Each year, Kusuma will support a classical music concert, organised and hosted by the society.
The Society holds concerts throughout the year and is known for the quality of the orchestras and artists it attracts to Gibraltar. They aim to make classical music accessible to new audiences by offering half-price tickets to students and senior citizens and allowing children under 18 attend for free. To encourage a high standard in the arts, the Society will continue to offer tickets to all local schools and the Gibraltar Academy of Music and Performing Art (GAMPA).
