As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting students from Gibraltar the annual Kusuma Interview Workshops took place this week. We partnered with Jane Marshall from Optimising Futures to help students from Bayside and Westside schools and Gibraltar College with their interview techniques in time for their university interviews. The workshops provide subject specific feedback and advice to the students who are applying to Oxford, Cambridge and other Russel Group universities.

Jane who has been working with students all week had this to share about her time: “I am delighted to be back in sunny Gibraltar running the Kusuma Trust University Interviews Week for the smashing students from Bayside, Westside and the college. I have been interviewing students applying for a wide range of subjects including the Oxbridge and Russell Group applicants interested in economics, HSPS, PPE, medicine, maths and physics as well as veterinary medicine and a range of talented and enthusiastic education and healthcare applicants. Everyone who took the opportunity of a practice interview learned how to prepare themselves and techniques for giving the most effective answers. Their confidence improved across the board as they realised they will be able to tackle the interview questions, even the tricky ones! Huge thanks to all the teachers for organising the timetables and ensuring that everything is going really smoothly. Despite the difficult circumstances we are all still experiencing this year, the Kusuma Trust has ensured that the students are as well prepared as ever for the challenges ahead and I wish all the students every success! “
