In April, we awarded a grant of £25,000 to the Barts Covid-19 Research Appeal. Our grant was allocated to the collection and analysis of the blood samples and health data of frontline healthcare workers. The research is being conducted by Barts Consortium made up of Doctors and Researchers from Barts Health, University College London, and Queen Mary University London.
Last week, on 8 May 2020, the first paper published as part of the research we funded was included in the Lancet and featured on the ITV evening news. The Lancet is among the world’s oldest, and best known general medical journals. We would like to offer our congratulations to Barts for the work they are doing and the interest that this research is generating.
