We are delighted to work with Equal People mencap, once again, by awarding them a grant of almost £25,000 to support people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
‘Making Food Work 2 Project’ is a year long programme providing an opportunity for social interaction and community participation through: teaching employability skills, employment and CV writing workshops and offering paid work and volunteering opportunities. Equal People mencap aim to support up to 40 trainees in areas such as catering, gardening, IT and HR, and over 250 vulnerable individuals and their families/carers will visit their drop-in and benefit from free healthy meals twice a week.
