2020 has been an unpredictable year for communities around the globe, and this was no different for us at Kusuma Trust UK. The year started with the recruitment of a new Grants Manager, just before the country went into lockdown and offices throughout the UK had to adapt to a working-from-home lifestyle.

However, in the midst of all these changes, we recently reached a milestone of awarding over £1 million to organisations in the UK! Since 1 January 2020 we have given £1,145,576 to 36 charities, including 23 grants specifically supporting organisations’ Covid-19 appeals.

We are honoured to be able to contribute to the work that our grantees do in supporting their communities. This has especially been the case during Covid-19, and we were humbled to hear of organisations going above and beyond to help the most vulnerable during this pandemic. For the rest of the year we will continue to focus on giving grants to organisations doing fantastic and vital work in their community.
