We are happy to team up with Nova New Opportunities once again to contribute towards their Family Programme’s School Holiday Activity Programme with a grant of over £21,000. Our funding will enable the delivery of activities during 13 weeks of school holidays between April 2022 and March 2023.
Activities will target four main themes: health and wellbeing; education and learning; arts and culture; and social, community and play. Sessions will include sports classes and outdoor trips; visits to museums and historic sites; and attendance of cultural performances and educational workshops. There will also be virtual sessions with activities such as quizzes, scavenger hunts, science challenges and arts and crafts sessions, comic book storytelling and family yoga and meditation. The project will also provide holiday support to young people affected by the Grenfell fire through Nova Youth weekly group projects. The project will reach up to 150 families each holiday, engaging between 395-575 adults and children.
