We are glad to announce a £250,000 grant towards green spaces, including an outdoor classroom and woodland walk, at the new Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration! The registered charity is creating a permanent national centre for illustration in a former waterworks in Islington by restoring 18th and 19th century industrial buildings on a one and a half acre site.

The ambitious project hopes to welcome 100,000 visitors each year, engaging students through events and exhibitions and partnering with local organisations and illustrators. The building itself will encompass exhibition galleries, creative spaces, a learning studio, a surrounding garden and a gallery dedicated to Quentin Blake’s work.
