Experiencing London wildlife just got better at the London Wetland Centre! We are happy to see that the grant we gave to The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust has successfully upgraded their three storey observatory tower that overlooks the wetlands and all the wildlife it houses in Barnes!
Improvements to the “Peacock Tower” include installation of larger widows, new signage and refurbishment of the interior which have increased the visitors’ knowledge on the wildlife and use of the tower itself. Staff have also began holding ‘Meet the Team’ sessions in the Peacock Tower where they teach visitors about the wetlands, using the opportunity to explain how the wildlife visible on the reserve changes with the seasons and encourage return visits to see different wildlife spectacles!
