We are pleased to award a grant of £100,000 to Asthma + Lung UK to support the pilot of the Little Lungs Programme in London. The programme aims to engage up to 30,000 primary school children, plus their parents and siblings, to monitor air quality around their school, learn about the impacts of air pollution, and change behaviours as a result of their understanding and learning.

The Little Lungs Programme will not only educate schools on clean air but also aims to set up clean air monitoring in 150 schools in London. The readings will be added to the Breathe London data hub and teachers will receive feedback on their local pollution levels and ways they can reduce children’s exposure at their individual schools.

We are happy to collaborate with Asthma + Lung UK and look forward to hearing about its progress and impact.
