We have granted over £17,000 to the Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) to support 9 gardeners to take on paid work-experience, creating and maintaining green city spaces through the BOST Landscape Academy over the next year.
The Bankside Open Spaces Trust is an environmental charity working in South London to care for open spaces and run community projects in parks and gardens. The Landscape Academy will help BOST to pilot a self-sustaining model of horticultural employability training.
Nearly 47% of London’s surface area is ‘green,’ and we’re delighted to support the Bankside Open Spaces Trust and the Landscape Academy gardeners to help this green space grow into some of the remaining grey corners of South London.
