We are supporting Chess Fest, an outdoor chess festival taking place 16-18 July 2021, organised by Chess in Schools and Communities. The festival will include a day of chess training and matches for London schoolchildren, and a day of public chess displays, tournaments and entertainment on Sunday 18 July in Trafalgar Square.
The festival will be themed around Lewis Carroll’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass”, and the general public are encouraged to attend to play chess on giant boards, watch blindfold chess taking place, see a human chess game, or even have a free chess lesson from a professional chess teacher.
