We are pleased to award a grant of £25,000 to Global Generation, towards their ‘Growing Together, Learning Together’ project, funding three pivotal roles for the Story Garden in the heart of Somers Town, Kings Cross. This grant will go towards increasing opportunities for Londoners to engage with green spaces in their communities.
The Growing Together, Learning Together project will provide one-to-one and small group sessions for vulnerable young people, refugees, and 75 local residents with no access to green spaces to feel more connected to nature and their community through gardening activities.
The roles of Story Garden Manager, Education and Community Gardener and Garden Assistant will ensure that the Story Garden is a community resource and space that is constantly evolving – weaving together the stories of the many people who live in the local community.
