We are delighted to award a grant of over £79,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity towards the purchase of two Medtronic Stealth Image Guidance Systems. These vital pieces of equipment are used in image-guided surgery, allowing surgeons to determine accurately where the instrument is in the brain, reducing the risks during surgery, and increasing precision, safety and efficacy.
Image guidance has represented the standard of care in neurosurgical practice for over twenty years and has been available at Great Ormond Street Hospital since its introduction into clinical practice. We are pleased to support Great Ormond Street Hospital in continuing to deliver their great work.
