Our longstanding grantee, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), has done amazing work with our decade-long grant of £2.8m towards setting up the Kusuma School of Biological Sciences.

IITD had a vision of becoming pioneers in modern interdisciplinary biological sciences by integrating emerging disciplines with life sciences, and to nurture and sustain a vibrant, comprehensive programme in research and instruction. The Kusuma School of Biological Sciences now houses major research facilities, with the faculty and academic programme being highly regarded, and in the last five years alone, IITD have had 35 patents filed including six internationally, and an average of 31 publications per year.
