This year we are once again supporting Knit Gibraltar, a local community group which brings together people of all ages who knit or crotchet for charity.
The group have met weekly since 2011, providing a regular point of contact and support for its members. After a hiatus due to Covid19, the group is up and running once again and Kusuma Gibraltar has provided a grant of £1,000 for the purchase of yarn and wool. Many of the items that are lovingly handmade by the group are given to charities in Gibraltar and Morocco. They are also used as raffle prizes or sold to raise funds for charities such as the Samaritans, Cancer Relief Gibraltar and RifCom, which supports people in poverty in Morocco’s Rif Mountains.
