We are thrilled to award the Migration Museum £45,900 to fund roles within the Museum’s learning programme to increase capacity. Our funding will partially fund the role of the existing Learning Assistant and the new Learning Officer, both of whom will have lived experience of migration.

The Migration Museum explores how the movement of people to and from Britain through the ages has shaped the nation. The education programme reaches on average 3,000 young people a year through workshops which use exhibitions as rich backdrops to explore themes of migration, identity and belonging.

A new Learning Assistant will maximise the impact of the Education Programme in Lewisham and to meet the high demand for workshops and teacher training. They aim to double the current number of young beneficiaries and deliver training to 300 teachers – increasing their confidence in teaching about migration. We are pleased to partner with the Migration Museum and wish them every success in expanding their programme!
