We are delighted to announce the award of a grant of over £40,000 to Moorfields Eye Charity towards the purchase of a Thunder microscope as part of our Medical Open Call.

This remarkable piece of equipment uses rapid imaging to detect nearly every cell and interaction in the eye. This tool will help advance research into a wide array of eye issues for teams at both Moorfields Eye Hospital and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology. This microscope can help scientists look at any and all tissue involved in sight and at the same time, speeding up the research process and expanding the knowledge about the eye in health and disease.

We are excited about the opportunities ahead for potential advances in research into eye conditions.
