In 2021, we awarded a grant to the Gibraltar Health Authority to purchase vital equipment for their new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Bernard’s Hospital. This new unit means that sick babies and pregnant women who are high at risk no longer have to transferred to Spain or the UK for treatment.

At the end of last year the specialist Cereal Function Monitor equipment that we funded was used to successfully stabilise a patient before they were transferred to another unit for further care. Dr Soler-Casale, a Consultant Neonatologist from St Bernard’s Hospital said ‘We want to express our gratitude to Kusuma again for such generous donation. It has been a great experience to be able to use the equipment here in Gib.’

We are delighted to learn that our support has resulted in lives being saved and wish the new unit all the best in their important work in Gibraltar.
