During the week commencing 8 April 2019, we awarded new grants to the Zoological Society of London and Centre for London.

The grant to the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) will contribute to their redevelopment of the Snowdon Aviary (pictured above). We will be part funding the Community and Education hub that will deliver high quality learning activities for schools and community groups. This grant will support ZSL’s work in this area for the next five years, meeting one of our priority areas of supporting community and informal learning spaces.

Our second new grant was a match funded grant awarded to the Centre for London to contribute to their research on transforming how we move around the city entitled ‘Planning and Design for Future Mobility in New Developments’. Over the next six months Centre for London will be carrying out a literature review, interviews and focus groups to develop their report in this area. We are pleased to be supporting this project as mobility within the city has a huge impact on air pollution, which is one of our current priority areas.
