We are delighted to announce that our grant of more than £44,000 to A New Direction will fund the first pan-London Cultural Ambassadors Week, a celebratory showcase of the skills, talents and creativity of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The showcase will take place in multiple locations across London including: creative and community hubs, cultural venues such as Tate Modern, Southbank Centre and the National Theatre, and local arts venues. The programme aims to reach 500 children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

We hope this programme can help to address barriers preventing young people with SEND from accessing professional opportunities within the cultural sector, and establishes a sustainable learning partnerships between young people, Role Models (disabled artists, disabled-led arts organisations), the cultural sector and schools.
