Our latest grant of just over £60,000 has been given to Oasis Children’s Venture for their project Environmental Education Programme for Young People disengaged from Nature. We are delighted to be partnering with ‘Oasisplay’ to bring their Environmental Education Programme to young people aged 10-16 in Stockwell!
The programme will include Forest School activities that will engage the young people to dig, plant, grow, eat their own produce, and do garden maintenance, starting their journey of learning about and enjoying the natural environment. They will also provide 14-16 year olds a Young Leaders course, where they will be supported to become Green Champions, learning to lead gardening activities with younger participants, and promote participation through peer-to-peer support.
We are excited to see the young people enjoy their new “green finger” activities!
