We are pleased to partner with the Beauchamp Lodge Settlement once again to support the Floating Classroom Forest School project taking place this summer. Our grant of just over £7,500 will offer regular, inclusive outdoor learning for 20 children aged 8-11 from primary schools in North Westminster.
We hope that the Forest School project will provide young people the opportunity to embrace new challenges, develop transferable skills, and connect with nature. Over the course of the programme, children will become familiar with the forest environment and comfortable in an outdoor setting. Participants will learn to identify plants and animals, experiment with knots and lashings, get to grips with basic tools, and combine these skills to build shelters and structures.
