We are partnering with the Royal Free Hospital in Camden to purchase a state-of-the-art Quadra PET-CT scanner for the treatment of cancer.
Our grant of over £140,000 will predominantly ensure that more patients begin treatment sooner, by doubling the number of patients scanned, and enable more targeted therapies, by being 35 times more sensitive and specific than current equipment. As the largest provider of cancer services in the capital, the Royal Free London is also uniquely positioned to increase research capacity and contribute to the development of new treatments with the new equipment.
