In October 2019, we awarded a grant of £10,000 to the Royal Shakespeare Company to support a one-day conference for teachers and arts education professionals on how to successfully include the arts and cultural learning in the school curriculum.

Experts in creative writing, drama, dance, music, the visual arts and Shakespeare will lead workshops on practical methods for promoting an arts-rich education.  Evidence that demonstrates the positive impact of the arts on young people’s creativity, resilience, oracy and confidence will also be presented. Keynote speakers include Andria Zairakou, MBE, who won the 2018 Global Prize for the Best Teacher in the World, and Jonothan Neelands, Professor of Creative Education at the Warwick Business School.
