St John volunteers have been a familiar presence at community and sporting events across England for many years, providing compassionate care and essential first aid to anyone who needs it. We have awarded St John Ambulance a £240,240 grant to fund the production of four First Aid Unit vehicles.
Their vehicles are vital to their work and their new, bespoke First Aid Unit vehicles have been created to improve both the patient and volunteer experience. New features will include having four-wheel drive to enable access to off-road emergencies, carrying six fully equipped volunteers with a tent which can be set up as a treatment base and its own power supply and a tow-bar to carry bicycles – particularly useful for crowded events.
We are happy to work again with such a well loved organisation and hope this will help those in need across London.
