Pathways to STEM launches for its fourth year

In 2015 based on demand for STEM graduates and the under-representation of students from low socio-economic backgrounds, we launched the Pathways to STEM programme with The Sutton Trust. This followed The Sutton Trusts Pathways model providing education events, skills sessions and career encounters in Nottingham and York Universities.

The launch event in December saw 54 students attend York University and 43 in Nottingham University, together with 62 carer or family members. The programme was off to a great start as the students and their families met the course leaders, received detailed information about the programme and support around issues accessing finance in Higher Education.
