In December 2018, we committed to support the BrightMed Gibraltar Festival in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Between 11 – 13 June, the annual event successfully took place in Gibraltar offering a programme of films, talks, conferences, exhibitions, street parties, concerts and speeches with inspirational world musicians and artists.
Highlights included The BrightMed Film festival showcasing 8 new documentaries that played to an audience of over 1,000 viewers; BrightMed talks for 300 students exploring how to manage chaos; a street party in Irish Town and John Macintosh Square for 5,000 people; photography exhibitions showcasing the work of 5 locally based photographers; and the climax of the event, the World Music Festival which saw Serbian Artist Goran Bregovic and his Wedding and Funerals Orchestra play to a sold out audience at St Michael’s Cave.
We are already looking forward to continuing our partnership with the BrightMed team to see what they have planned for 2020!
