We have awarded a small grant to Universify Education to support the development of a new data collection strategy that aims to establish efficient ways of gathering information on where their alumni end up. Universify Education work with state school students from years 10 and 11 (aged 14-16 years old) to increase access to highly selective universities.

Our grant will enable Universify to investigate data collection tools and methods relating to university choices, alternative paths to employment and access to follow-on programmes, and to learn from other organisations about their impact data gathering. The information gathered will also be used to design an alumni communications plan which will be piloted with former participants before being rolled out to current cohorts.

The new strategy will aim to capture data from alumni that will help identify obstacles to university, support future programme refinements, capture the impact of their work, and contribute to wider understanding of how young people can overcome barriers to higher education and employment.
