We are delighted to be partnering with Vauxhall City Farm through a £98,600 capital grant to help form the structure of their new community garden, build paths, outdoor education spaces, pergolas to protect historic grape vines, a mini forest, an ecological pond and new planting beds.

Located a stone’s throw away from Big Ben and sitting in a highly diverse community of 1.5 million people, Vauxhall City Farm is one of the oldest and most central city farms in London. However, one fifth of their site has been out of bounds to the public for decades. Vauxhall City Farm’s vision is to use this space to create a new community garden, providing visitors with a stronger appreciation of the living environment and the opportunity to learn about animals and the many uses of plants.

We are confident that this initiative will make a positive impact on the local community in Lambeth and to the thousands of visitors that Vauxhall City Farm welcomes every year. We are really looking forward to seeing the new Community Garden.
