Our Head of Research joined colleagues from our Indian partners Transform Schools, at the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Doha on 19-21 November. The theme of the conference was ‘Unlearn and Relearn: what it means to be human’. We were inspired by educators who are dedicated to finding new ways to teach and learn in schools, refugee camps, nurseries and community settings around the world.
At Kusuma, we believe that pupils of all backgrounds should receive a quality education that stimulates and engages students’ interest and curiosity. We are inspired by the work of Larry Rosenstock, Founder of High Tech High in the USA, who was awarded the 2019 Prize for Education at WISE. He explained to a rapt audience how and why he developed an innovative project-based learning model that successfully supports students from all socioeconomic backgrounds to develop academic and practical skills.
