We are giving a £25,000 grant to our long term partners, Chess in Schools and Communities, for Chess Fest in Trafalgar Square on 7th July 2024!
The exciting and engaging event will draw in thousands of budding and experienced chess players alike to enhance their skills and compete against on another in a variety of chess games. Grandmasters will wait to be beaten whilst living games of chess will be played by a troupe of actors and blindfold chess and “blitz” chess play out on big screens. All the while, Chess in Schools and Communities, will aim to deliver a first chess lesson to at least 500 children in their teaching tent!
