We are delighted to award a grant of £50,000 to City Harvest to help support their incredible work reducing food insecurity and protecting the planet by diverting quality, nutritious, edible surplus food from waste and redistributing it to those facing food poverty.

City Harvest rescues over 80 tonnes of nutritious surplus food a week and provides it free of charge to over 350 organisations that support the vulnerable in London. This includes homeless shelters, hostels, soup kitchens, schools, and domestic abuse refuges. This helps people in three ways:

~ Provide nourishing meals to those unsure where their next meal will come from
~ Enable charities to spend funds that would have been spent on food costs on other vital services
~ Prevent harmful greenhouse gases from damaging the environment.

We are happy to partner with City Harvest once again and wish them the very best with carrying out this vital work. You can read more about our previous relationship with city harvest here.
