We are excited to announce that we have awarded a grant of over £100,000 to Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital Charity (RBH)!
Our grant will allow them to purchase a new Genetic Sequencer. This is a vital piece of equipment that tests DNA for inherited conditions and gene mutations, saves lives by giving more precise diagnoses, inform on best treatment, and catch medical issues before symptoms have even begun. Currently at RBH the Genetic Sequencer is used 400 times a month and can sequence 60 samples every two days, the new version will be able to perform double the amount of tests in a shorter amount of time- cutting wait time significantly for the 3,000 people who will be tested in one year alone.
